The area code for all telephone numbers in the district is (02).


This prefix is the same for all of New South Wales.
(*NB it is not necessary to dial this prefix if calling a New South Wales number from within New South Wales>.) All phone numbers in the area are 8 digits plus the (02) area code. Most phone numbers in the shire start with 67', except for
Gwabegar which starts with 68'.
