Baan BaaLast modified: January 16, 2007 - 4:08 PM
The Town of Baan Baa
Baan Baa is located approximately 40 kilometres South East of Narrabri on the Kamilaroi Highway, 30 kilometres North West of Boggabri and 56 kilometres North West of Gunnedah along the Kamilaroi Highway. It takes any easy 30 minutes to travel from Narrabri to Baan Baa and only 20 minutes from Boggabri. Baan Baa was once a bustling railway village and the remains of the bygone era can be explicitly viewed when visiting the village of Baan Baa. It is primarily a grain rail terminal, feeding in from the rich grain country that the village is tucked away amongst. Baan Baa is predominantly an agricultural village which exists to support the surrounding primary producers. Cotton and cattle are also important enterprises to the district. The sleepy village of Baan Baa starts to buzz during grain harvest. The large grain storage facilities and its location on the railway, provides an accessible delivery point for the grain producers in the area to unload their harvest. Contact details
