Narrabri Shire Cemeteries

The locations and details of the cemeteries within the Narrabri Shire.

Bellata Cemetery

The Bellata Cemetery is located on the right hand side of Shire Road 1 (Millie Road), when travelling from Bellata to Millie. Shire Road 1 is on the left hand side of the Newell Highway when travelling from Bellata to Moree.

Boggabri Old and Lawn Cemetery

The Boggabri Lawn Cemetery is located in Caxton Street West, Boggabri. The Old Boggabri Cemetery is located next door.

Gwabegar Cemetery

The Gwabegar Cemetery is located on the right hand side of Shire Road 39 (Gwabegar Road) when heading east from Gwabegar.

Narrabri Old and Lawn Cemetery

The Narrabri Old Cemetery is located on Stoney Creek Road, Narrabri on the outskirts of town. The Lawn Cemetery is located on the Kamilaroi Highway towards Gunnedah. If you do not have a plot reserved in the Old Cemetery, it is no longer possible to reserve one.

Pilliga Cemetery

The Pilliga Cemetery is on the left hand side of the Pilliga to Coonamble Road when travelling from Pilliga towards Coonamble. The cemetery is approximately 1 km from the village of Pilliga.

Wee Waa Cemetery

The Wee Waa Cemetery located on the back Wee Waa – Narrabri Road over the Lagoon Creek Bridge. This road may be referred to on maps as the Wee Waa – Pilliga Road or Culgoora Road. The identifying land mark is the Lagoon Creek Bridge. .

All Cemeteries are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
