For approximately 2 weeks to accommodate the Youth Swimming Training the pool will be open for two hours on week days from 3:30pm - 5:30pm past the official closing date. The pool in this time is only open to swimming training participants and is not open to the general public.

- A lifting chair to provide an alternative means of entering the main swimming pool

- Kiosk providing snacks, cold drinks and a range of swimming related accessories

- Plenty of grassed areas for children to play

Pool Availability
Narrabri Shire Council is committed to providing continued support to our local schools and swimming clubs. To assist you with availability of the swimming pool, please download a copy of the bookings calendar. This calendar is updated every week to ensure patrons are aware of daily bookings during certain times of each day.

Bookings
The swimming pool may be booked for an event by a community group, government organisation (including schools), private business or private individual. These bookings may be for a one-off event or celebration, or may be for a regular and continual event (eg mini-triathlons).

There is currently no charge for holding an event of some kind at the swimming pool; however it should be noted that any booking made to use the facility does not result in the exclusive use of that facility for that event. That is, the swimming pool facility will remain open to the general public during the event.

Before submitting a booking form to Council, please consult the Narrabri Shire Council Swimming Pools Operations Plan 2007-2008 for full details and conditions of submitting an application to use the swimming pool.

Friday Family Evenings
Narrabri Shire Council is committed to encouraging and developing family fun and community involvement with its swimming pools and other facilities. In doing this, the Council is providing the Narrabri Memorial Swimming Pool and facilities, free of charge to patrons, one evening every month during the swimming season.

The dates of the Friday Family evenings are listed below. On these dates, the swimming pool will remain open until 9pm, with free entry from 5pm that same day.

The Family Friday evenings will be available for bookings by community groups provided the proposed events are biased towards fulfilling the needs to children generally, and family friendly. Examples include Blue Light Discos, evenings hosted by the Local Swimming Club which are open to the community (member drives), or fundraising evenings by local community groups such as Lions, Apex, and Rotary. NSW Health or other government agencies are welcome to set up stalls or provide free services or information during the evening that may benefit the community.

If you are a community group, and would like to make a booking to hold a family-friendly event on one of the above specific dates, please download and complete a copy of the relevant booking form and submit this to Council in the manner directed on that form. These documents are located at the bottom of this page.
