MEDIA RELEASE - School Holiday fun is here again!

School Holiday fun is almost here again!!

Following 3 rounds of fun and varied activities during the school holidays in 2017, Kidsfest is back in a couple of weeks’ time for the April school holidays!

Narrabri Shire Council, through the resources and staffing at The Crossing Theatre wanted to ensure that the youth of Narrabri Shire had age-appropriate activities available to them at an affordable price over the holiday period. Through the Kidsfest program, Council has been able to offer activities for children aged 6 months up to 17 years of age.

“Council felt there was a significant opportunity through The Crossing Theatre to offer a program of low-cost, fun activities that could assist families in keeping children entertained for the school holidays,” said Venue Manager Mr Trent Bruinsma. “We have been overwhelmed by the positivity and utilisation of our programs that have varied from Laser Tag to animal encounters, Zorb Ball soccer to craft workshops.”

“The activities and programs being offered through Kidsfest would normally require travel or considerable expense for residents to participate in. Kidsfest has been designed to provide activities inexpensively for the Narrabri Shire community.”

Kidsfest to date has had over 3,200 children participating with the range of activities enjoyed immensely by children and appreciated by parents.

With the April school holidays only 2 weeks away, The Crossing Theatre is now taking bookings for a program that includes Mini Master Chef cooking classes, Reptile encounters, Free Movie nights, Kids Zumba classes, Games Rooms, and various craft activities. Council encourages those who wish to participate to get in quickly by booking online, visiting the venue or calling to secure tickets on (02) 6792 4654.
