Boggabri Library receives a boost!
Narrabri Shire Council has welcomed the announcement that Boggabri Library has recently received $47,965 through the NSW Government Public Library Infrastructure Grant program.
“We are thrilled that the Boggabri Library has received such a significant boost through the Public Library Infrastructure Grant program,” said Narrabri Shire Council Mayor Cathy Redding. “This grant funding will see the facilities at the Boggabri Library greatly improved, creating a wonderful asset for the community.”
This funding will see the Boggabri Library modernised with mobile shelving, new furniture and improved technology. These improvements will create a more usable space and promote greater use of the library.
“The funded improvements will make Boggabri Library an important community meeting space and allow staff to provide high quality services to the community.”
Our libraries are an integral asset to our communities. Narrabri Shire libraries are under the Central Northern Regional Library group which allows residents access to a huge range of resources. Through our local libraries, staff run a range of diverse programs that include tech savvy classes for seniors and robotics and craft activities for children. The modern library is more than books - it’s a resource centre for residents.
“This funding is another positive boost for the town of Boggabri who have already attracted significant funding through the Stronger Country Communities grant and are set to benefit from three other major projects being the Boggabri Caravan Park, Boggabri Childcare Facility and Boggabri Wastewater Treatment Plant,” concluded Mayor Redding. “This is another great win!”
