Demystifying Energy for Households - FREE Workshop

The NSW Governments Office of Environment and Heritage has an established and well respected training programme that provides assistance with energy efficiency. Within this programme is a 2 hour workshop series titled “Demystifying Energy for Households”. As the title implies, this workshop is an opportunity for households to gain a better understanding of their energy use. The workshop provides assistance with understanding electricity bills, improving energy efficiency as well as how to make an informed choice on the benefits of solar PV and battery storage.

Solar PV installation is an increasingly popular way for NSW households to save on energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Battery storage is currently attracting considerable attention and people have become rapidly interested in what options exist for their home.

The information, tools and resources provided in this free workshop can help households to establish if solar is right for them and when battery storage may become a viable option. They also learn some practical energy saving tips to help reduce their households overall energy use and learn about the tricks and traps of buying solar and batteries from an independent expert.

The workshops are delivered by external consultants who are proven specialists in energy efficiency. For this series of workshops, in Moree, Tamworth and Narrabri, your presenters will be Evan Darmanin from ChargeWorks and Julien Freed from Julien Freed Consulting. Evan covers all areas of energy efficiency but specialises in the related areas of solar PV, battery storage and electric vehicles. Julien is a specialist lighting consultant with expertise in Solar PV and Battery storage. Both have significant expertise in their fields and have collaborated with OEH on the development of resources and training in battery storage and lighting.

Evan and Julien work very well together to deliver an interesting, fun and engaging workshop.

This workshop is not to sell products or services, it is only to provide the community with enough information to ensure they are able to make appropriate choices that suits their needs.

Light supper will be provided.
