The Cancer Council of NSW

Narrabri Shire Council is playing a vital role in the fight against cancer by being a member of the Community Partnership Program.

By working in partnership with The Cancer Council NSW, Narrabri Shire Council is well placed to provide a real boost to the health and wellbeing of residents.
The Community Partnership Program is as beneficial to Narrabri Shire Council and our community.

Narrabri Shire Council became a Cancer Council Community Partner by adopting a motion to establish a formal relationship between The Cancer Council NSW and their Narrabri Shire Council, affirming their commitment to reducing the impact of cancer in their community by:

• Learning about and adopting new policies that will lead to a reduction in the incidence of cancer.

• Supporting Cancer Council advocacy campaigns that benefit the residents of your community.

• Using Local Council communication channels, venues, staff and networks to disseminate Cancer Council health promotion and patient support materials.

• Helping The Cancer Council to support patients and their families in your community by allowing free use of Council venues for support group meetings and education programs.

• Support Cancer Council efforts to raise money in the local area.
