You won’t find a more friendly town than Boggabri. This vibrant and Positive community has a great heritage. The town catchphrase “The Little Town with the Big Heart” is a true representation of this progressive and positive community.
Boggabri is set for an exciting future due to the growth and development of the coal industry near the town. Strategically located close to three operating coal mines, Boggabri offers numerous employment, ancillary business and industry opportunities. A strong business community is developing in the town to service and support the mining industry and increased resident population.
Many historic buildings remain within the town and residents take great pride in their past. The main street of the town is flourishing with a newly renovated IGA supermarket. A heritage trail through the town highlights its new and more historic features.
Boggabri has a Commonwealth funded residential aged-care facility alongside a State funded hospital providing primary and community healthcare. This facility provides an excellent medical service to the residents of this area.
Boggabri has two primary schools, both with great facilities and matching reputations. Older students attend high school in the nearby town of Narrabri which is a short drive from Boggabri.
The town is situated on the southern edge of the Nandewar Ranges and the scenery in this part of the Shire is breathtaking. Amazing rock formations such as Gin’s Leap and the spectacular Dripping Rock are only a short drive from the town centre.
