Recycling Arrangements in Wee Waa
Wee Waa Garbage Bins will be replaced on Tuesday 23rd October 2007.
To assist us with the transition to kerbside recycling we require:
1. You to place all your mobile garbage bins out the evening before the day of your normal collection.
2. That you do not remove your bin until you have 3 bins (Yellow / Blue / Red lids) and a collection calendar has been placed in your mailbox.
3. You ensure your current 240 litre garbage bin which will be converted to a recycling bin is clean prior to use for recycling (rinsed / washed).
Please note:
o Council is only providing kerbside recycling to residential premises that have a 240 litre garbage collection service. Commercial premises will not be provided with a recycling service and can collect their bins following emptying.
o Council would appreciate that you make arrangements with your neighbours to put your bins out if you are going to be away when the bins are scheduled to be swapped.
o Flats, duplexes, multiple-occupancies, and units with more than 3 dwellings will be supplied with 1x120 litre red lidded garbage bin per dwelling and 2x240 litre bins per 2 dwellings.
o Recycling information for Narrabri Shire can be obtained from the following website www.namoiwastecorp.com.au.
o Delays in deliveries will be advertised on the Council’s website: www.narrabri.nsw.gov.au, and on radio MaxFM 91.3MHz from 3pm (just after the hour).
o Collection of recyclables (blue lidded bin) will commence from Tuesday 30th October.
Please note that collection of the recycling bin will occur during the late afternoon / evening until early November when a dedicated new recycling truck commences service.
