Lillian Hulbert Memorial PrizeNominations are currently being called for The Lillian Hulbert Memorial Prize. The Prize is intended to encourage excellence and reward merit annually. This year is the first year the Prize has been offered, and the prize money will be $10,000. If there are no applicants that are considered to have outstanding achievements in one of more of the categories, the Prize will not be awarded. Nominations must meet the following criteria: 1. The person nominated must be under the age of 18 years and not under the age of 15 years as at the 24th February, 2008.
(d) Sport – provided the sport is cricket, football (any code), golf, tennis, bowls or any other sport played competitively in the Narrabri District or any sport included in the competitions presently described as The Commonwealth Games and/or The Olympic Games.
Nomination forms must be submitted to Council prior to 5.00pm Friday 11th January 2008. NOMINATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Candidates may be required to be involved in an interview process. The Lillian Hulbert Memorial Prize will be presented to the successful candidate (if one is selected) on 24th February 2008.
