Winners of the Shire Snapshot Competition AnnouncedThe photographs entered into the 'Shire Snapshot' photography competition were judged on Wednesday the 13th February 2008. The photographs were judged by a panel of 5 judges including the Mayor Cr George Sevil, a professional photographer from outside of Narrabri Shire and representatives from Wee Waa, Narrabri and Boggabri. There were 48 entries in total. The photos were judged on how well they captured Narrabri Shire, their technical competence and creativity. The following is a list of the winning and highly commended entries. 1st Prize – Janet Dampney Highly Commended – Jeanette Todkill Highly Commended – Kylie Brown Highly Commended – Julia Laird Highly Commended – John Turner Highly Commended – Janet Dampney Highly Commended – Emily Meldrum
The photos have been added to Councils image library and will be used for promotional material as well as in Council’s image library on the new Council website.
Council wish to to congratulate all the entries into the competition and commend the high standard.
