Planning and Development
The Planning and Development functions of the Narrabri Shire Council are coordinated through the Environmental Services Division. If you are planning on building please contact Council on (02) 6799 6855 in order to determine the application requirements for the type of structure you are hoping to build.
A selection of application forms and general information can be found on this section of the website. You are advised however, to contact Council if you are considering building, making alterations, subdividing, changing the use of an existing premises, erecting a front fence/garden shed/carport/awning or anything along these lines. If you are not sure whether the activity you are hoping to undertake requires Council approval, please call Council.
