Council response to COVID-19
Narrabri Shire Council is continuing to review the advice provided by the Australian Government and NSW Health surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Council is committed to meet prescribed guidelines for community safety.
Council’s services remain uninterrupted at this point in time, with relevant NSW Government restrictions in place. We are aiming to ensure services are able to be maintained at current levels. Any changes to Council services will be communicated via our website and social media.

OPERATION CAT - Discounted Desexing, Vaccination and Microchipping
Narrabri Shire Council is pleased to be partnering with the Cat Protection Society of NSW to offer a subsidised cat desexing program to eligible cat owners. From 1 November, eligible Narrabri Shire residents can have their cat or kitten desexed, vaccinated and microchipped for $40 as part of “Operation Cat”. Eligible Narrabri Shire residents include those who are Australian Health Care and Pension card holders.
Bookings open on Monday, 1 November and can be made by contacting the Cat Protection Society of NSW on 02 9519 7201 between 10.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Cat owners will need to confirm their eligibility when completing the registration application.
Places are limited to 60 cats and applicants are advised that a referral needs to be received before making the veterinary appointment.
