Nominations for the $10,000 Lillian Hulbert Memorial Prize 2023 now open!

Nominate a deserving young person between the age of 15-18 years who has demonstrated an act of bravery or heroism, academic or sporting achievement or contributed to charitable work in the Narrabri Shire.

Lillian Hulbert Memorial Prize Committee
PO BOX 261, NARRABRI NSW 2390.The Prize is intended to encourage excellence and reward merit annually to a worthy recipient of the Narrabri District (defined as the area within a radius of 55km from the Narrabri Post Office).

Entrants must be under the age of 18 years and not under the age of 15 years as at 24 February in the year in which the prize winner is to be announced.

The prize winner should have outstanding achievements in one or more of the following categories:

• Acts of bravery or heroism.
• Charitable activities and good works especially for the community or individuals in the Narrabri District.
• Education and academic achievement including in the arts and sciences.
• Sport - provided the sport is cricket, football (any code), golf, tennis, bowls or any other sport played competitively in the Narrabri District or any such sport included in the competitions presently described as the Commonwealth Games and/or The Olympic Games.

If there are no applicants that are considered to have outstanding achievement in one or more of the categories, the Prize will not be awarded.

Candidates must be willing to participate in an interview process.

Jonathan Cuell was announced as the inaugural winner of the 2008 Lillian Hulbert Memorial Prize on 25th February 2008 and was awarded with his medallion on 18th March 2009.
