The annual Australia Day Awards promote and recognise the achievements and outstanding service of community members and groups who make a significant contribution to the Narrabri Shire.

Lillian Hulbert Memorial Prize

The Lillian Hulbert Memorial Prize was established in 2007 by Thomas Whipp in memory of his late mother, Lillian Hulbert. The prize is awarded annually to a Narrabri District resident aged between 15 and 18 who has shown outstanding achievements through an act of bravery or heroism, charitable work or academic or sporting achievement.

The Narrabri Shire Senior of the Year Award recognises the invaluable contribution of senior citizens across our shire through active participation on community committees, assisting in the wellbeing of people within the community, or major contributions to the community over many years.
