As at 1.30pm Wednesday, 13 August 2025 the following roads are CLOSED:

Culgoora Road (between Wild Willows Lane and Cardale Mollee Road - to HEAVY VEHICLES ONLY)

Gardens Road
Peele Street
The Island Road
Namoi Street
Maules Creek Road
Cotton Lane
Old Narrabri Road
Turrawan Road
Pikes Lane
Harparary Road
Therribri Road
Browns Lane
Rangari Road
Braymont Road (closed at Barbers Lagoon)

The following roads are now OPEN:

Nowley Road (with CAUTION - water over the road)

Spring Plains Road
Vera Leap Road
Old Pilliga Road
Pilliga Road
Doreen Lane
Middle Route Road
Pilliga Road (between Gwabegar Road and Wee Waa)
Violet Street Bridge
Culgoora Road
Kamilaroi Highway
Fraser Street
Guest Street
Grain Valley Road (up to the Willala Road intersection - this road remains closed in the Gunnedah Shire Council area)
Ugoa Street
Selina Street
Cnr Fitzroy and Tibbereena Streets

Road users are reminded that:

They may be liable for any damage that they cause to a road that is closed to their vehicle type.
Travelling on roads covered with water is extremely dangerous and should be avoided.
Road conditions can change without warning and drivers should travel with caution.
Unsealed roads damage very easily when they are wet and only essential journeys should be undertaken until these roads dry out.
Repairs to damaged roads are not usually possible until the roads and gravel stockpiles begin to dry out.
Council prioritises repairs, with high traffic roads usually receiving attention first.
