Narrabri Shire Council has numerous Strategic Documents which the Planning and Environment Section utilise to develop policy and forecast future development in Narrabri Shire. These documents including the Growth Management Strategy are also used to develop Local Environmental Plans (LEP) which are the principal legal document for controlling development at a Local Government level.
WRM was commissioned by Narrabri Shire Council to prepare the Narrabri Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan (FRMP) .
The study includes a supplementary Flood Study to update the flood modelling prepared in 2016 to be consistent with the latest revision of Australian Rainfall and Runoff and updated versions of modelling software.
