As part of a NSW Government bore water screening program, free sampling of privately owned bores within the Narrabri community will be available on an opt-in basis commencing Tuesday, 27 May through to Thursday, 29 May 2025. Registrations will be accepted until 12 noon Friday, 23 May 2025. Residents of Narrabri are being offered free bore sampling on their property for PFAS. Participants will receive the results for their bore and the information may help identify sources of PFAS in the water supply. Town tap water is safe to drink and use. Who is eligible? The program is open to anyone in Narrabri (particularly in the north-west of town), with either a registered or un-registered bore, who wants to participate in the sampling program.
How do I register? For more information and to register for the bore sampling program, please visit Council's website.
