PFAS private bore sampling program
As part of a NSW Government bore water screening program, free sampling of privately owned bores within the Narrabri community will be available on an opt-in basis commencing Tuesday, 27 May through to Thursday, 29 May 2025.
Registrations will be accepted until 12 noon Friday, 23 May 2025.
Residents of Narrabri are being offered free bore sampling on their property for PFAS. Participants will receive the results for their bore and the information may help identify sources of PFAS in the water supply.
Town tap water continues to be safe for drink and use.
The program is open to anyone in Narrabri (particularly in the north-west of town), with either a registered or un-registered bore, who wants to participate in the sampling program.
Water Main Renewal – Lenore Crescent, Wee Waa
Council has begun installing a new water main along Lenore Crescent, Wee Waa to improve local infrastructure.
The works will involve machinery and open trenches for a short period and traffic control signage in place for safe navigation.
Residents will be provided advance notice of any water supply disruptions and the main will be installed on the road to reduce impact on driveways/verges.
The road will be fully resealed after works are complete
Council will stay in close contact with residents throughout the project and work to minimise disruption.
