Aboriginal Artists & Makers
The Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre proudly acknowledges the rich cultural heritage and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to our region.
As part of our commitment to celebrating First Nations culture, we’re creating a dedicated space in the Visitor Information Centre to showcase and sell the work of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and makers.
We'd love to hear from you if you're a: 
- Weaver, jeweller, painter, woodworker or carver
 
- Create homemade items such as bush soaps, balms or other products using native materials. 
 
This is a great opportunity to share your culture and creativity with visitors from far and wide.

Narrabri Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from performers, musicians, entertainers, and creative collectives to bring their talents to NarraBRIGHT 2026.
Proudly presented by Narrabri Shire Council, NarraBRIGHT is a dynamic light and street festival that celebrates the vibrancy of our community, businesses, and town centre.
We are seeking EOIs from:
- Live music performers – from ethereal acoustic acts to energetic bands that set the scene for a fantastical night.
 
- Roaming entertainment – circus acts, stilt walkers, costumed characters, dancers, magicians, and fantasy-inspired street performers.
 
- Interactive performers – immersive activities, participatory art, and experiences that draw audiences into the world of fantasy.
 
- Specialty acts – unique performances that surprise, delight, and ignite the imagination.

Business and Community Activation Program - NarraBRIGHT 2026
Narrabri Shire Council invites local businesses, community groups and organisations to submit Expressions of Interest to deliver creative activations as part of NarraBRIGHT 2026.
Proudly presented by Narrabri Shire Council, NarraBRIGHT is a dynamic light and street festival that celebrates the vibrancy of our community, businesses, and town centre.
We welcome ideas and activations from:
- Local businesses: In-store activations, product showcases, interactive experiences, fantasy-themed window displays, late-night shopping specials - we're open to your big ideas.  
 
- Community groups and organisations: Workshops, hands-on activities, games, demonstrations, or performances that engage the community.
 
- Creative collaborations: Imaginative pop-ups, art-based activities, or unique interactive ideas aligned with the fantasy theme.
 
Your activation must coincide with NarraBRIGHT on 10 April 2026.  Activation can commence before this date and conclude following the event. 
Depending on the scope of activation, funding may be available.

2025 Christmas Pop Up Shop - Expressions of Interest
Expressions of Interest are now open for stall holders for the 2025 Christmas Pop Up Shop
In its fourth year, the Christmas Pop Up Shop provides an excellent opportunity for home-based businesses to trial trading in a retail space, to support new premise establishment. 
 
Additionally, it provides existing businesses extra space for Christmas retailing and business promotion in a predominate main street location during December. 
There is no fee to be a stallholder.

Seniors Festival Working Group
Narrabri Shire Council is seeking enthusiastic community members to join the Seniors Festival 2026 Working Committee.
This volunteer committee will work alongside Council staff to plan, coordinate, and deliver a vibrant and inclusive festival celebrating our senior residents across the Shire.
If you’re passionate about supporting local seniors and want to help shape this exciting event, we’d love to hear from you!

Crime Prevention Advisory Committee EOI
Narrabri Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest to fill one vacant position on the Crime Prevention Advisory Committee.
This voluntary role is designated for a representative of the local Aboriginal community within the Narrabri Shire region.
Committee members provide valuable advice to Council on community safety and the delivery of the Crime Prevention Plan 2024–2028.
