2026 Easter Opening Hours

Administration Building

  • CLOSED from 4.00pm Thursday, 2 April.
  • REOPEN from 9.00am Tuesday, 7 April.
  • Payments will not be processed after 3.00pm Thursday, 2 April.

Requests can still be submitted via email. However, please be aware that your request will not be addressed until Council's Customer Service Team returns on Tuesday, 7 April.

For urgent matters, you can contact us by calling 02 6799 6866 and following the prompts to speak with our after-hours service.  

Waste services

The Narrabri Waste Facility and Shire Transfer Stations will be CLOSED on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

JR Richards kerbside collection will continue throughout the Easter Holiday period. However, please take note of the following schedule adjustments:

  • Friday, 3 April 2026 (Good Friday), will be collected on Monday, 6 April 2026.

Please put your bins out the night prior to collection.

Narrabri Shire Libraries

All Shire libraries will be CLOSED from Good Friday and will reopen on Tuesday, 7 April.

Narrabri Shire Swimming Pools

  • The Narrabri Aquatic Centre will be CLOSED from 7.00pm Thursday, 2 April and will REOPEN from 6.00am Tuesday, 7 April.
  • Wee Waa and Boggabri pools will be CLOSED from 6.00pm Thursday, 2 April and will REOPEN from 11.00am Tuesday, 7 April.
  • Please note: Wee Waa and Boggabri pools will close for the summer from 6.00pm Saturday, 18 April.

The Crossing Theatre

The Crossing Theatre will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Please visit The Crossing Theatre website or The Crossing Theatre Narrabri Facebook page for scheduled movie times.

The Crossing Cafe

The Crossing Theatre Cafe will be CLOSED on Good Friday and will reopen on Tuesday, 7 April.

Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre

  • CLOSED Good Friday.
  • OPEN Saturday, 4 April from 9.00am - 2.00pm.
  • OPEN Sunday, 5 April from 9.00am - 2.00pm.
  • OPEN Monday, 6 April from 9.00am - 2.00pm.

Regulatory Compliance

The Regulatory Compliance team’s will be available for emergencies *only* via Council's afterhours service on the following days:

  • 3 April 2026 (Good Friday public holiday).
  • 4 April 2026 (Easter Saturday).
  • 5 April 2026 (Easter Sunday).
  • 6 April 2026 (Easter Monday public holiday).

Please remember not to detain stray animals, as the Regulatory Compliance Team is unavailable for collection on public holidays and weekends.

Stray animal collection is not classified as an emergency. This includes taking animals to veterinary clinics.
