- Green waste pushed up at Wee Waa Transfer Station on Saturday, 10 January. Boggabri is scheduled for Saturday, 17 January.

Violet Street replacement project
Works to replace the Violet Street Bridge over Narrabri Creek will begin during the week commencing Monday, 19 January, with the bridge closed from this date.
A detour is in place along Selina Street, Newell Highway and Tibbereena Street for the duration of works (please see below):
Works are expected to be completed by the end of September (depending on weather and other factors).

Water/Sewer
Portable water treatment plant
Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the portable treatment plant project have closed.
The purpose of the EOI is to identify capable contractors who can deliver a compliant, efficient and cost-effective PFAS water treatment solution that meets current and future community needs.
Tenders will be invited in March 2026 for the project to commence from June 2026.
Council will advise the community regarding a detailed timeline for the project upon successful selection of the tender.
