2025 Narrabri Shire Council Countback Election

A countback election will be held to fill a casual vacancy on Narrabri Shire Council, following the resignation of Councillor Joshua Roberts-Garnsey.

At the September 2024 ordinary election, Council resolved that any future vacancies would be filled through the countback method.

Key dates:

Thursday, 28 August at 12.00pm: Candidate applications and roll close
Monday, 1 September at 10.30am: Eligible candidates declared
Tuesday, 2 September: Election Day. Count begins at 11.00am, with results to be published shortly after.

This process is being managed by the NSW Electoral Commission.
