Boggabri Transfer Station
Council thanks the community for their ongoing patience while we continue to address the illegal dumping of asbestos-contaminated waste at the Boggabri Transfer Station. We continue to pursue those responsible for the illegal dumping.
Council is also taking the following actions to reopen the site to the public:
- A contractor will commence clean-up of the transfer station tomorrow (Wednesday, 17 September).
- Council is aiming to re-open the Boggabri Transfer Station on Monday, 22 September - pending successful completion of clean-up works.
We will provide updates if there are any changes to this schedule.
We understand the frustrations of the Boggabri community due to this ongoing closure, however the safety of our staff and community is paramount.
