Works on Turrawan Road will start on 5 October 2026.

Works will include the rehabilitation as well as heavy patching and resealing works from the Maules Creek Road intersection to just before the Old Narrabri Road intersection. The traffic island at the Maules Creek Road intersection will also be replaced.

As part of the works, the bridge on Turrawan Road will be closed on Wednesday, 14 October between 7.00am and 4.00pm to allow safe completion of compaction works along the bridge abutments.

We apologise for any inconvenience while these necessary works take place.

    Rangari Road upgrade

Work is getting underway on the Rangari Road upgrade.

Last week, Council staff joined Rangari Road residents for a BBQ, giving the community the chance to meet the project team, hear about upcoming works and ask questions.

The project will see approximately 9.7km of unsealed Rangari Road upgraded to a sealed formation, with initial tree removal and pruning substantially complete and the Bayley Park Creek Causeway and culvert works next on the program.
