Hydrant and stop valve maintenance.

Narrabri Shire Council would like to inform you about upcoming maintenance works scheduled for the hydrant and stop valve networks within the vicinity of Wee Waa, Pilliga, and Gwabegar.

Location and Schedule:

Commencing from Wee Waa, the maintenance operations are set to commence within the next two weeks. The project will cover servicing these networks in Wee Waa, Pilliga, and Gwabegar.

Nature of Work:

The maintenance involves the essential servicing of hydrants and stop valves crucial for fire protection infrastructure.

Work Timings and Duration:

The maintenance activities will take place between 7.00am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. These operations are expected to span until Christmas and potentially extend into January, contingent upon project and contractor requirements.

Traffic Management:

To ensure the safety of both workers and motorists, traffic control measures will be implemented where necessary throughout the duration of the works.

Expected Impacts:

Motorists are advised to anticipate potential delays and review signage. Both Council and its contractors aim to minimise disruptions where permitted within the designated work areas.
