Parks and Open Spaces

Narrabri

  • Completed aerating of Narrabri sporting fields.
  • Assisted with replacement of artificial turf on Cooma Oval wickets.
  • Mowing/snipping of Pirate Park.
  • Mowing of sporting fields.
  • Irrigation repairs at Cooma Oval.
  • Removal of silt from Cameron Park boat ramp.
  • Cleared build-up of silt along shared pathway at Narrabri Creek.

West teams

  • Mowing/snipping at lawn cemetery.
  • Slashing and mowing of open space areas.
  • Irrigation repairs at the lawn cemetery
  • Mowing, snipping and spraying at water treatment plants

Town team areas

  • Mowing and spraying at the old cemetery.

Wee Waa

  • Cleaning of toilets.

Pilliga Bore and Gwabegar

  • Cleaning of bore baths and toilets.

Boggabri

  • Toilets cleaned toilets daily.
  • Town bins and truck stop bins emptied twice weekly.
  • Mowing at Baan Baa township.
  • Mowing at truck stops.
  • Mowing at town sign.
  • Mowing/snipping at the cemetery grounds.
  • General irrigation maintenance.

Narrabri Airport

  • Jet A-1 refuelling.
  • Training of staff member.
  • Mowing of Airside.
  • Link Air and Fly Pelican operations on Monday of the long weekend.

Waste

Transfer stations tidy up

Staff have been heading to all transfer stations for general tidy ups, after getting the truck back following its breakdown last week.

We continue to see the increase in contamination of recyclables due to general waste being emptied into these bins as well as other stockpiles contaminated with general waste.

Thank you to all staff for their continued work in keeping all transfer stations and the Narrabri Waste Facility presentable to our Shire residents.

  • The Harparary Road upgrade is continuing.

  • Pump replacement and augmentation of wiring infrastructure at Namoi Reservoir.
  • Elizabeth Street bore pump augmentation.
  • Compliance monitoring for Level 4 Water Restrictions
  • Narrabri Sewer pump station infiltration study implementation.
  • Sewer main access cover replacement along Narrabri Creek, Narrabri.
