Parks and Open Spaces

Narrabri (Open Spaces)

  • Vegetation control at Narrabri Lawn Cemetery.

Pilliga bore baths

  • Pilliga Bore Baths' toilets and grounds cleaning.
  • Cleaning of bore baths' pool.

Pilliga town

  • Cleaning of toilets and emptying of bins twice a week.
  • Vegetation control at Pilliga Park.

Gwabegar

  • Emptying of bins and litter clean up at Anzac Park.
  • Vegetation control along town streets and at parks.

Boggabri

  • Public toilets cleaned daily.
  • Town bins emptied twice weekly.
  • Truck stops bins emptied twice weekly.
  • Vegetation control along the town street.
  • Repair works on mains in Jubilee Oval.
  • General maintenance of gardens and irrigation at recreational parks.

Narrabri Airport

  • Re-fuelling works.
  • Airside mowing.
  • Works on building following storm

Roads

  • Flood Damage Heavy Patching is continuing on Pilliga Road.
  • SR011 Harparary Road Upgrade is continuing.
  • Installation of pram ramps is ongoing in Narrabri.
  • Maintenance roadside slashing in the Eastern areas.
  • Maintenance to MR357 Rangari Road - Bollol Creek floodway is continuing.
  • Preparation works for the Violet Street Bridge replacement are continuing, including removal of overhead streetlights. Planning and preparation works are expected to be completed by Christmas.

Water/Sewer

  • Registrations for private bore testing by the EPA closed at midday on Friday, 21 November.
  • Laidlaw Street Boggabri Water Main Renewal is continuing.
  • Bore investigation and water quality assessment of Logans Lane and Saleyards test bores.
  • Bore pump test and water quality assessment of Saleyards test bore.
  • Pump replacement and augmentation of wiring infrastructure at Namoi Reservoir has been completed.
  • Water reservoir cleaning operational project for Mooloolabar and Purcell streets.
  • Narrabri Sewer Pump station infiltration study implementation.
  • Sewer condition assessment and mains cleaning in West Narrabri.
  • Sewer main access cover replacement along Narrabri Creek in Narrabri.

Waste

  • Sims Metals scrap removal is in full swing. Trucks have started to attend on a daily basis to complete the scrap stockpile.
  • A cage of mattresses have been trucked off site.
  • Transfer stations at Edgeroi, Baan Baa, Maules Creek and Boggabri have been tidied and cleaned.
  • The Narrabri Waste Facility has been mowed and litter control completed on a daily basis to keep it presentable.

Facilities and Logistics

  • Oily waste drained from wash bay area.
  • Completed Nurruby handrail repairs.
  • Wee Waa Pool maintenance.
  • Addressed ongoing water pump issues at Northern NSW Inland Port houses.
  • More temporary fencing was added between the NAB site and business houses for accessibility to the rear of building.
  • Repairs to taps at Regent Street.
  • Maintenance at WWCACC.
  • Following up on facilities capital projects.
  • Services on two trucks, two cars, three 4WDs and mower.
  • Five sublet electrical, two sublet tyres and windscreens.
  • Eight instances of reactive maintenance.
