Parks and Open Spaces

Narrabri

• Mowing of sporting fields.

Boggabri

• Cleaning of town toilets daily.

• Spraying for weeds at cemetery, caravan park and parks.
• Aerating of Jubilee Oval.
• Watering of ovals, cemetery and parks.

Roads

• Gravel resheeting works are continuing on Courada Road.
• Stage 3 of Harparary Road upgrade is ongoing.
• Tullamullen Bridge approach work is continuing - following inundation and wet weather. Demolition of old structure has been completed.
• Flood Damage Heavy Patching Program is ongoing with crews working on Yarrie Lake Road and Old Pilliga Road.
• Gravel production has started with dozer work at Greenhills Quarry.
• Maintenance grading on SR42 McDowells Lane, SR84 Cliffdale Lane, SR58 Glen Idyll Road, SR38 Kiandool Lane, SR50 Stumpy Lane and SR33 Forest Way.

• Violet Street Bridge tender has been assessed, with the report being compiled for the Extraordinary November Council meeting.
• Greenhills Quarry extension approvals process is continuing. 

Water/Sewer

• Mitchell Street, Wee Waa water main renewal has been completed.
• Laidlaw Street, Boggabri water main renewal is underway.
• Bore investigation and water quality assessment at Logans Lane and Saleyards test bores.
• Bore pump test and water quality assessment at Saleyards test bores.
• Pump replacement and augmentation of wiring infrastructure at Namoi Reservoir.
• Elizabeth Street bore pump augmentation has been completed.
• Chlorination servicing of all bore sites and Namoi Reservoir.
• Sewer main access cover replacement along Narrabri Creek, Narrabri.
• Narrabri Sewer Pump station infiltration study implementation.
• Sewer service line repairs in Narrabri.
• Sewer condition assessment and mains cleaning in West Narrabri.

Waste

• Narrabri Waste Facility Expansion Development Application Public Notice is being advertised (see Council's website). 
• The Mandalay Software (waste weigh-in software) upgrade is in progress.
• GPS guided software has been purchased for the compactor and bulldozer, improving compaction rate consistency.
• Mulching of green waste product at Boggabri Transfer Station has been completed.
• JR Richards monthly contract meeting.
• Litter control: The Team has been doing an excellent job keeping the site tidy during recent hot conditions and high winds.
• IT and Building Services are working to restore WiFi onsite to allow visitors better communications.

Narrabri Airport

• 4,746 litres of Jet A-1 were sold during the past week.
• Cleaning of weather station equipment.
• Weed spraying around Terminal, along carpark and roadway as well as around hangars.
• Watering from bore around Terminal.
• Mowing duties where required.

Facilities and Logistics

Facilities

• Ongoing training at airport serviceability and re-fuelling.
• Preparation for slab at Wee Wea Pool for bunded tank install.
• Coordinated pest control sprays at the Wee Waa and Narrabri libraries.
• Installed fencing at Narrabri Pool in preparation for bunded tanks to arrive.
• Maintenance at Unit 1, Balonne Street.
• Boggabri depot defects: Aircon service and inspection of water leak.
• Boggabri Caravan Park: Cleaned gutters, installed gutter guard. Maintenance on TV antenna.

Logistics

• Services carried out on light vehicles, grader, loader and excavator.
• Air conditioning fixed on UD truck.
• Front suspension replaced on ute.
• Boggabri telehandler coolant leak fixed.
• Liebherr dozer window replaced at Narrabri Tip.
• Centre bearing replaced on drive shaft of tar truck
