Parks and Open Spaces

Narrabri

  • Mowing of all sporting fields.
  • Mowing/snipping of area for Nosh Narrabri as well as assisting the Nosh Narrabri Committee.
  • Mowing/snipping eastern side of the lake.
  • Mowing of Dangar Park with reel mower, as well as cutting and laying of turf.
  • Mowing/snipping at Cameron Park.
  • Mowing, snipping at the cemetery, including around plinths and plaques, we well as funeral lawn cemetery.
  • Slashing of open space areas.
  • Mowing and snipping along the highway, Cooma Road to Gately Field.
  • Mowing of open space areas as well as treatment plant.
  • Weeding of Maitland Street gardens around trees.
  • Mowing, snipping, spraying, slashing at old cemetery as well as mowing and snipping at Eulah Creek Cemetery.

Wee Waa

  • Mowing of sporting ovals
  • Spraying CBD pavers
  • Installation of shade sail poles in Ludowici Park
  • Spraying Wee Waa cemetery

  • Whipper snipping at Wee Waa Pool and spraying fence lines

Pilliga Bore

  • Cleaning of bore baths

Gwabegar

  • Emptying of bins
  • Mowing and snipping at Anzac Park.

Boggabri

  • Cleaning of toilets daily.
  • Town bin run twice a week.
  • Truck stops rubbish collection twice a week.
  • Poles have been installed for the shade sail over the splash pad at Vickery Park.
  • Mowing of town streets, truck stops, around town sign, lawn cemetery, etc.
  • Sprayed Baan Baa Park for broad leaf weeds.

Waste

  • Waste attendants have been busy spraying due the increase of weeds due to recent rain.
  • Two cages of mattresses have been loaded and ready for pickup.

  • Tyres have been stacked as per EPL requirements to reduce vermin and any other hidden hazards.

  • The team has been busy with roadworks, maintenance on and around the asbestos pit and old cell.

Roads

  • SR11 Harparary Road upgrade is continuing.
  • Gravel resheeting continuing on SR47 Middle Route Road, SR111 Appletrees Lane, SR9 Bald Hill Road and SR199 Rossmore Lane.
  • Numerous road inspections and cleanups are ongoing. 
  • Grading on SR22 Braymont Road, SR127 Kamilaroi Highway, SR228 Gratti Valley Road.
  • Other gravel patching works on SR31Lake Circuit, SR60 Westport Road, SR52 Spring Creek Road.
  • Heavy patching on Newell Highway
  • Hand patching on SR61 Turrawan Road, SR22 Braymount Road, Narrabri, MR72 Kamilaroi Highway (Narrabri to Boggabri), SR19 Maules Creek Road, MR343 Kamilaroi Highway (Wee Waa to Burren Junction), SR29 Yarrie Lake Road, SR30 Culgoora Road, MR127 (Pilliga Road) and SR46 Doreen Lane.

Water/Sewer

  • Water main renewal along Mitchell Street, Wee Waa is continuing.
  • Bore investigation project at Logans Lane and Saleyards test bores is ongoing.
  • Bulk Water Filling Station installation in Wee Waa.
  • Rewiring and pump repair at Namoi Reservoir.
  • Sewer main access cover replacement along Narrabri Creek, Narrabri.
  • Sewer reconstruction along Fitzroy Street, Narrabri.
