Parks and Open Spaces

Narrabri

• Washing down of seating and furniture at all parks.
• Washing down of Collins Park and Dangar Park grandstands.
• Snipped along lake wall pathway.
• Snipped bore site at saleyards.
• CPR training.
• Backfill at lawn cemetery.
• Irrigation work at lawn cemetery.
• Field and surrounds mowing and snipping.

• Mowing of all parks.
• Mowing of top and bottom of levee bank.
• Sports fields preparation.
• Weeding of gardens.

• Cleaning of toilets.
• Cleaning of bore pool.
• Emptying of bins.

• Emptying of bins.
• Irrigation works.

• SR2 Berrigal Road rehab has commenced and is progressing well on a 2.5km section.
• Gravel resheeting continues, with gravel going to MR329 Cypress Way and SR255 Clarendon Road.
• Tullamullen Bridge has been linemarked.
• Maintenance grading on SR13 Upper Maules Creek Road, SR22 Braymont Road, SR138 Thornfield Crossing Road, SR204 Gardens Road, SR103 Roma Lane and MR357 Rangari Road.

Violet Street replacement project

Works to replace the Violet Street Bridge over Narrabri Creek are continuing.

Demolition work on the current bridge is underway. The old bridge deck will start to be removed this coming Thursday/Friday (5/6 February).

A detour is in place along Selina Street, Newell Highway and Tibbereena Street for the duration of works (please see below):

Works are expected to be completed by the end of September (depending on weather and other factors).

Water/Sewer

• Laidlaw Street water main renewal is continuing.
• Saleyards bore flow and quality testing – site induction, bore CCTV and screen cleaning, installation of data loggers.
• Maitland Street, Wee Waa bore pump replacement.
• Assessment of EOI for potential suppliers for Temporary Water Treatment Plant.
• Namoi Reservoir pump transmitter replacement.
• CCTV and condition assessment of sewer in Narrabri.
• Pump replacement at Wee Waa STP inlet works.
• Infiltration study program launch for Narrabri sewer pump stations.

Facilities and Logistics

• Fixing of sound proofing at TCT.
• Installation of flooring in committee room.
• Repairs to Boggabri Courthouse and Red Cross room.
• Five light vehicles services.
• Eight heavy plant services.
• Three small plant services.
