The CBD of Narrabri will be transformed this Friday, 15 March from 6pm with NarraBRIGHT set to dazzle and surprise.

NarraBRIGHT will celebrate the vibrant community, CBD and businesses of Narrabri through music, entertainment, late night shopping, food, captivating art installations, market stalls and art workshops.

Further adding to the burst of colour NarraBRIGHT will bring to Maitland Street, will be the spectacular and breathtaking light projections by Illuminart.

Funded, organised and ran by Narrabri Shire Council, last year’s NarraBRIGHT saw 4,000 people flock to the CBD.

Narrabri Shire Mayor Darrell Tiemens thanked all the businesses that helped make NarraBRIGHT possible.

“Without the incredible support of our local businesses there would not be a NarraBRIGHT, which is now in its fourth year,” Mayor Tiemens said.

“I thank all these businesses for their participation in NarraBRIGHT, who open their doors for this late-night event, ensuring our community can shop, dine and generally enjoy this amazing evening.”

As well as the valuable participation of local businesses, this year’s NarraBRIGHT has seen the contribution of more than 169 event crew, community volunteers and performers.

Mayor Tiemens paid tribute to the artists, musicians, stall holders and community groups who have helped ensure the success of this Friday’s NarraBRIGHT.

“This includes the participation of 14 community groups, which is a record for the event,” he said.

“It’s fantastic to have this involvement from our local community groups, as well as numerous volunteers, including Council staff, who put in a lot of hours to make NarraBRIGHT so special.”
