Narrabri town water supply is on Level 4 water restrictions from 7am Saturday, 24 January 2026.
The Violet Street Bridge will be closed from Monday, 19 January to the end of September 2026 for bridge replacement works. A detour will be in place along Selina Street, Newell Highway and Tibbereena Street.

The Narrabri Shire Council Administration Building will remain closed on Thursday, 12 June, following a small fire in the building’s front kitchen last Friday.
Following the quick thinking and effective response of staff, the fire was contained and all staff safely evacuated from the building.
While the fire was small and swiftly contained, the smell of smoke and fumes continue to affect parts of the building. As a precaution, the Administration Building will remain closed on Thursday.
