Narrabri township will remain on Level 4 water restrictions, with a temporary sprinkler and splash pad exemption in place from Thursday, 29 January 2026.
The Violet Street Bridge will be closed from Monday, 19 January to the end of September 2026 for bridge replacement works. A detour will be in place along Selina Street, Newell Highway and Tibbereena Street.
Narrabri Lake recreational area is in Narrabri West. There is a walking track around the lake where you can spot many water birds. There is an electric BBQ and picnic area, playground equipment and a horse exercise area. Narrabri Lake now features a new Pirate Playground - a pirate themed playground great for interactive play.
