Parks and Open Spaces

Narrabri (Open Spaces)

  • Vegetation control at Narrabri Lawn Cemetery.
  • Slashing of Saleyards bore site.
  • Mowing along Cooma Street.

  • Works on the War Memorial in Barwon Street.
  • Clean up following storm.

Sports fields team

  • Mowing/snipping of all sporting fields.
  • Graffiti clean-up at Collins Park.

Wee Waa

  • Cleaning of public toilets and litter work daily.
  • Vegetation control along Wee Waa streets.
  • Daily cleaning of CBD.
  • Watering of CBD gardens.

Pilliga bore baths

  • Pilliga Bore Baths' toilets and grounds cleaning.
  • Cleaning of bore baths' pool.
  • Maintenance on facilities.

Pilliga town

  • Cleaning of toilets and emptying of bins twice a week.
  • Vegetation control at Pilliga Park.

Gwabegar

  • Emptying of bins.
  • Litter clean up at Anzac Park.

Boggabri

  • Public toilets cleaned daily.
  • Town bins emptied twice weekly.
  • Truck stops bins emptied twice weekly.
  • Vegetation control and irrigation work at Boggabri Pool.
  • Open space mowing of streets in the Southern area.
  • General maintenance of gardens and irrigation at recreational parks.

Roads

  • Flood Damage Heavy Patching is continuing on Pilliga Road.
  • The Harparary Road upgrade is ongoing.
  • Maintenance grading has been completed on Cypress Way, Glenwood Lane and Jones Lagoon.
  • Maintenance grading works are underway on Gardens Road, Gwabegar Road and Westport Road.
  • Installation of pram ramps is continuing in Narrabri.
  • Maintenance roadside slashing in the Western areas has been completed.
  • Maintenance roadside slashing in the Eastern areas is continuing.
  • Maintenance to Rangari Road - Bollol Creek floodway.

Water/Sewer

  • Registrations for the private bore water screening program close at noon on Friday, 21 November.
  • Water main renewal is underway along Laidlaw Street, Boggabri.
  • Bore investigation and water quality assessment of Logans Lane and Saleyards test bores.
  • Bore pump test and water quality assessment of Saleyards test bore.
  • Pump replacement and augmentation of wiring infrastructure at Namoi Reservoir has been completed.
  • Water reservoir cleaning operational project for Mooloolabar and Purcell streets.
  • Narrabri sewer pump station infiltration study implementation.
  • Sewer condition assessment and mains cleaning in West Narrabri.
  • Sewer service line repairs in Narrabri.
  • Sewer main access cover replacement along Narrabri Creek in Narrabri.

Waste

  • Repairs to the Narrabri Waste Facility fencing are now complete.
  • Scrap metal removal is in full swing. Trucks have started to attend on a daily basis to complete the scrap stockpile.
  • Transfer stations at Edgeroi, Baan Baa, Maules Creek and Boggabri have been tidied and cleaned.
  • The Narrabri Waste Facility has been mowed and litter control completed on a daily basis.
  • Pre-tender meeting for the Narrabri Waste Management Facility Expansion (Cells 2 and 3) has been held.

Narrabri Airport

  • Re-fuelling works.
  • Airside mowing.

Facilities and Logistics

  • Meetings held with the new cleaning contractors.
  • Interim cleaners organised to help with the cleaning of facilities.
  • Pump issues fixed at Northern NSW Inland Port house over the weekend.
  • Sliding door repaired at the waste facility weighbridge.
  • Assisted the Visitor Information Centre with a capital project.
  • Organised plumbing works at TCT.
  • Organised an electrician for Administration Building.
  • Finished solar lighting for Open Spaces team.
  • Car services.
  • Services on four 4WD vehicles.
  • Grader service.
  • Six instances of reactive maintenance.
  • Servicing of two mowers.
  • Four instances of sublet repairs, windscreens and tyres.
